Maximizing Privacy
Suggestions & Tips
Ensure your nullifier data is securely destroyed after the withdraw is complete.
Wait some time (days/weeks/months) after your deposit.
If you deposit 13 times from a single depositor address and withdraw all 13 times to a single recipient address, your anonymity is reduced. Consider using a different amount of recipient addresses compared to your deposit address(es).
Delete browser data/cookies after each deposit, and after each withdraw. If two transfers are made with same cookies, browser extensions can link the two transactions.
Deposit and Withdraw at random times so timing analysis has no effect.
Use VPN and/or TOR browser so that your IP is less easily known and trace online activities back to a user. Free VPNs are not good. Have different Deposit and Withdraw IP addresses.
MetaMask logs IP addresses when a wallet generates a transaction. It also attaches an Infura RPC access key to the instance. You can delete and reinstall MetaMask between a deposit and withdraw to ensure a fresh access key to avoid the depositor-recipient anonymity exposure. Note, you will have to enter your seed phrase to recover your wallet.
Use a privacy ensuring RPC like https://pulsechain-rpc.publicnode.com
Use onion routing with hops to help mask your footprint by accessing served content via TOR.
Use Whonix or a virtual machine.
